CLEANING FOR ALL-MAKES VEHICLES! AT ANY OF OUR 8 CONVENIENT LOCAIONS

Fact: The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) on all 2007 and later engines must be cleaned at proper intervals of 250,000* miles (400,000 km or 6,000 hours) or less depending on duty cycle and manufacturers’ recommendations.

Fact: Left unchecked, soot and ash collected in a DPF can damage or destroy a filter — resulting in a DPF replacement cost of $3,000 or more and unwanted, unscheduled downtime.

DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER (DPF).

DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter. DPFs combine oxidation catalysts and exhaust gas recirculation valves to remove many pollutants from diesel fuel, including NOx, particulate matter (like black, cough-inducing soot) and unburned hydrocarbons.

During the combustion of diesel fuel, soot is produced as a byproduct. A honeycomb structure is located inside the DPF to catch soot as it passes through. When soot accumulates over time, the onboard computer exercises the fuel injection to allow unburned fuel to enter the filter at measured intervals, where it flares off and creates increased temperatures that incinerate the soot.

Over 90% of the soot is reduced.
